This collection of frequently asked questions (FAQ) provides brief answers to many common questions about Nomads Solos.

 

 

What is the purpose of the Nomads Solos?

We are organized to help you meet other singles while on Nomads trips and through social activities sponsored by Nomads Solos.

What can Nomads members expect from the Nomads Solos while on a Nomads trip?

Each Nomads Trip Director works with the Solos Trip Coordinator to contact a Nomad Solo who is on your trip. The Solos trip representative will be in front of the World Map before boarding the aircraft. He or she will arrange a get-together the first day of your trip, if feasible.

Who is eligible to be a Nomads Solo?

Nomads who are 21 years or older and who are legally single. All Nomads Solos, except Associate members, must continue their yearly Nomads dues.

Are the Nomads Solos governed by the Nomads Board of Directors and staff personnel?

No, the Nomads Solos are governed by a 12 member volunteer Board of Directors elected by the Nomads Solos. All positions and activities are on a volunteer basis.

Will Nomads members be able to meet other single travelers to be potential roommates?

Yes, as you attend our Solo activities and travel with the Nomads, you will meet single Nomads that you may ask to share a room. If you cannot find a roommate you may ask the Nomads to assign you a roommate.

How do I find out about the social activities?

The annual membership fee entitles you to a monthly newsletter listing all social activities. You also visit the Solos Website.
