NOTE: Effective year end of 2011, Meredith Klimes is resigning her position as newsletter organizer. I ask the Board of Directors to find another volunteer replacement for the February 2012 issue. Any Nomad Solos member interested in volunteering for this opportunity, contact one of the Board members listed above.

MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

First: Just a reminder that there is no newsletter for the month of January. So keep this one handy.

Second: The Board has listened to our Members. We had voted to increase our dues for next year to $50, but some Members figured that was too much. So, Rod Busard, our Treasurer, has prepared a budget using our current dues at $30 and with our expenses, we would have a loss of almost $2,000.00. With a dues increase of $10 per year, we would have a projected loss of $245.00. This is assuming that expenses do not go up such as postage, printing expenses, insurance, etc. It does not take into account any subsidized fees for Members or extra expenses for such things as the Christmas Party, Annual Meeting, or Picnic. The Board will be voting on amending the prior motion at our next meeting in January 2012.
